What is collected
Only when you leave a blog comment: the nickname you enter (anonymous), or your GitHub name, avatar URL and account ID (GitHub login), plus the comment text and time. IP addresses are stored only as hashes for spam control.
Purpose
Showing comments, letting authors edit or delete their own comments, and blocking spam or abuse.
Storage and retention
Stored on a server run by the site owner (comments.yiye.in, Korea) and never shared with third parties. Kept until the comment is deleted, and removed promptly on request. Disaster-recovery backups: 10 days on the server itself, plus 14 days of encrypted copies on a backup server the owner rents (Hetzner, Germany); older backups are deleted automatically.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your own comments while signed in. For access, correction, deletion or restriction requests, use the contact below.
Cookies
comments.yiye.in uses a sign-in cookie for commenting. yiye.in itself uses no analytics or advertising cookies.
